Blanket Donation Drive – A Charity In Motion

Posted by

A selfless service to society is what brings you close to salvation – The students of North Point Residential School, Siliguri in what turned out to be the greatest celebration of humanity generously donated their pocket money to procure and distribute blankets to needy people in a thoughtful event organised by Salasar Sewa Ashram, Rangapani.

Salasar Sewa Ashram, Rangapani who’s been a centre of the charity since its inception contributing to uplift the underprivileged people together with its members and North Point Residential School Siliguri outlined a philanthropic project and just like every year our students outrightly accepted the opportunity and donated generously to make difference in the lives of people.

Social Responsibility

Charity for good
Contributing to the cause of humanity

The bigger picture of this initiative has been how students took it upon themselves and came forward to lend a hand. We suppose it is a result of moral education imparted throughout the year that has made a difference. We, as a school always believe we have a social responsibility to cater and when an opportunity as noble as the Blanket Donation Drive started taking shape, we took the lead and went there with our students to distribute blankets more than what we did before.

Continuing the tradition

North Point Residential School, Siliguri like every year received the opportunity from the Salasar Sewa Ashram to partake in Blanket Donation Drive. Our mission this year was to reach more people than before and to help the cause everyone from the school especially students chipped in. Through everyone’s selfless contribution, we procured more than 1000 blankets and travelled to Salasar Sewa Ashram in a purposeful event organized by the members and benefactors.

Help in need is help indeed.

It was overwhelming to see the crowd of people who had come with hope and to be able to bring smiles and earn blessings from them was inspiring. Students while giving away blankets felt a strong sense of satisfaction and when we asked them we could feel the positivity and eagerness to come again and help them.
